High oxygen permeability and a unique wetting technology are the recipe for success of the Air Optix Aqua contact lenses from Alcon/Ciba Vision. The result is a long-lasting, high wearing comfort that benefits particularly dry and sensitive eyes. The monthly lenses are made of silicone hydrogel, which has up to five times more oxygen permeability than other contact lens materials, and also has a low water content, which minimises evaporation of the tear film. Thanks to the high oxygen permeability, it is possible to wear the lenses non-stop for 7 days and 6 nights in addition to the usual 30-day wearing interval for monthly lenses.
